VMOD is a simple little puzzle game for iOS where the goal is to activate all buttons on each level. The game goes through a bunch of new mechanics up until the end, so it never gets too boring, but after a while I’ve found that it became difficult for me to properly solve the puzzles, so I did a bit of mindless mashing in some instances. Nevertheless, it’s an okay game and I had some fun with it.

There isn’t too much to say about VMOD, honestly. You start with simple push buttons that toggle between on and off. Then the game introduces ‘links’ where if you toggle a button, all linked buttons are also toggled. Triangle buttons that have three states, X buttons that un-toggle all linked items when toggled, different level layouts that you can switch between, directional links that only toggle in a certain direction, the list goes on… The puzzles are well crafted, but I did get stuck in some levels and mindlessly clicking around until something worked didn’t feel great, but I had to at some point.

VMOD is neat, I can’t really write more about it because it’s a pure gameplay experience distilled into some simple mechanics which does not lend itself to lengthy explanations. Go try it out if you like puzzle games!
