Today I mainly worked on the core layering mechanics I'll be using in Layer Lady and I also more or less figured out what the main loop of the game will be. The main idea is that - as I had thought beforehand - you'll be moving multiple characters simultaneously in different environments, trying to collect as many coins as possible.

Some screens might have spikes poking from a wall, some might have two floors you can move up and down, some might have blocks that prevent you from moving in a direction but in any case, if you press 'right', all of your characters will go right. If any of them die, it's game over! Since there won't be a ton of mechanics to implement, I'll focus a bit more on the puzzles.

I've mainly coded the way that my game will show these multiple Game Box Entertainment Systems today. You can imagine how it'll look with 7 or 15 or 20 of them. Tomorrow I'll start on actual gameplay!
